Parish Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

St. Anne's Parish in Peterborough is seeking a Bookkeeper cum Administrative Assistant for four days a week (20 hours), from 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Location: St. Anne's Parish, 859 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough. Pay rate: between $22.13 and $27.23, based on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records of the parish and managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the parish office. This dual-role position requires discretion, confidentiality, accuracy, and a commitment to serve the mission of the Church.

Coordinator of Volunteers and Youth Ministry

Reporting to the Pastor, the Youth Ministry Coordinator directs opportunities for youth to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. He/She will develop and implement parish programs for youth and recruit, train and support volunteers. Candidate needs to be knowledgeable of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends.

Detailed Description

The Youth Minister at St. Joseph Parish in Bowmanville directs opportunities for youth to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. He/She will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive youth ministry program and will work to recruit, train and support volunteers. The ideal candidate for this position is a well-organized, energetic and creative individual who has proven success in youth ministry. He/She should also be able to attract, recruit, motivate and sustain volunteers. This part time position will provide the right person with an opportunity to inspire and enlighten a diverse group of vibrant Catholic families.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or greater in a related field is preferred
  • Previous professional experience with Catholic Youth Ministry
  • Experience that demonstrates excellent communication, organizational and time management skills with adults and youth
  • Strong administrative capabilities including computer literacy
  • Ability to maintain flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends
